The Mayor shall revoke any license issued by virtue of this chapter at any time that the licensee is convicted of a violation of any of the provisions of this chapter. No permit or license shall be issued to such licensee for a period of one year thereafter, nor shall such licensee operate a poolroom, billiard room or bowling alley under a license issued to any other person. The Mayor shall also have the right and authority to refuse any license issued by virtue of this chapter at any time that such licensee is convicted of any other crime or misdemeanor under the laws of the State or of the United States.
