(a) Permits are required for all alarm systems within the corporate limits of the City, except those audible alarms affixed to automobiles. Permits may be obtained upon due application and compliance with all applicable laws and provisions of this chapter.
(b) Alarm installations existing at the time of passage of this chapter shall be subject to all of the requirements and provisions set forth in this chapter except that it shall be required that a permit be obtained within thirty days of the effective date set forth herein for equipment or alarm systems which were installed or operative prior to the effective date of this chapter.
(c) The application for the permit shall be accompanied by documentary evidence substantiating that the equipment had been installed prior to the effective date.
