§ 7.04.030 AMENDMENTS PERTAINING TO CATS AND DOGS.
   (A)   ACO Sections 10.12.180, 10.12.190, 10.20.020, 10.20.030, 10.20.040, 10.20.180, and 10.20.190 are amended in part to exempt cats from the ACO’s cat licensing requirements and its enforcement. All other provisions in ACO Sections 10.12.180, 10.12.190, 10.20.020, 10.20.030, 10.20.040, 10.20.180, and 10.20.190 will remain the same.
   (B)   ACO Section 10.20.038 is amended to read as follows:
      “A.   Dogs. Up to two dogs may be kept at any residence without an animal facility license, provided the dogs’ owner or custodian licenses each individual dog and complies with the Mandatory Spay and Neuter Program for Dogs, 10.20.350 et seq. For purposes of this section, a service dog licensed under Section 10.20.090, is not counted toward the number of dogs kept or maintained, while such dog is serving a person who is disabled within the meaning of Government Code Section 12926(i) or Government Code Section 12926(k).
      B.   Cats. Up to four cats may be kept at any residence without an animal facility license, provided that each cat is spayed or neutered, and kept primarily indoors.”
   (C)   ACO Section 10.20.350 “A” is amended to require the spay and neuter of dogs at six months instead of four months to read as follows:
      “A.   No person may own, keep, or harbor a dog over the age of six months in violation of this section. An owner or custodian of an unaltered dog must have the dog spayed or neutered or obtain an unaltered dog license in accordance with Section 10.20.355.”
