§ 2.24.020 COMPOSITION; APPOINTMENT AND TERM OF OFFICE; QUALIFICATIONS.
   (A)   Composition. The City Planning Commission shall consist of ten members.
   (B)   Appointment; term of office. All terms of office of all present members of the City Planning Commission shall expire at 12:01 a.m. on March 25, 1985. Each Councilman, at the second regular City Council meeting held in March, 1985, shall appoint two members to the City Planning Commission and shall announce the names of his or her appointees at that meeting.
      (1)   The term of office for each member of the City Planning Commission shall terminate annually at 12:01 a.m. on the date of the second regular City Council meeting held in March of each year. Commencing on the date of the second regular City Council meeting held in March, 1986, and annually thereafter, each Councilman shall appoint two members to the City Planning Commission and shall announce the names of his or her appointees at that meeting.
      (2)   No person appointed to the City Planning Commission shall serve more than eight consecutive yearly terms.
   (C)   Qualifications. To be eligible to membership on the City Planning Commission, a person must be at least 18 years of age and shall have resided in the city for at least one year next preceding the date of his or her appointment.
