For the purpose of providing protection of public health and safety by regulating and prescribing mini- mum requirements and standards for, and controlling the use and occupancy, location and maintenance of, all residential buildings and structures, that certain code known as the Uniform Housing Code, 1988 Edition, recommended by the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the International Conference of Building Officials, and containing 39 pages, including all its indices and appendices, is hereby adopted by reference and made a part of the Alhambra Municipal Code pursuant to the provisions of Cal. Gov’t Code § 50022.2, providing for the adoption of codes by reference. Three copies of the Uniform Housing Code, 1988 Edition, have been and are now filed in the office of the City Clerk.
