§ 3.24.010 CHIEF TO CARE FOR PROPERTY; RETURN TO OWNER.
   The Chief of Police, subject to the direction of the City Manager, shall care for and protect all unclaimed property which may come into the posses-sion of the Police Department of the city and shall restore such property to its true owner upon proof of ownership satisfactory to him, and upon payment of all necessary costs incurred in the care and protection thereof.
