Unless another penalty is expressly provided by law, every person convicted of a violation of any provision of this traffic code shall be punished by a fine based on current state-approved amounts and/or as set by City Council from time to time for each violation. If any person is convicted of a third or subsequent offense committed within one year after the date of the first offense, that person shall be fined based on current state-approved amounts and/or as set by City Council from time to time. Each date a violation continues constitutes a separate offense.
