On any street within the city where the pavement width is less than thirty-six (36) feet, parking shall be prohibited on the side of each street where fire hydrants are located. The side of the street on which the fire hydrants are located are hereby designated as fire lanes. It shall be unlawful for any operator of a motor vehicle to stop, park, or permit any vehicle to stand in a fire lane.
