3-2-19: SPECIAL EVENTS:
   (A)   License: A special event license may be issued for a limited period of time for the purpose of allowing the licensee to raise funds for charitable, educational or civic purposes.
   (B)   Application: A special event license may be issued to not for profit corporations organized and operating under the laws of the state for charitable, educational or civic purposes. Application shall be made with the liquor control commissioner at least thirty (30) days prior to the date for when the special event license should be issued. Class A licensees shall be eligible for a special event license if all requirements for such a license are met.
   (C)   Information For Applicant: Any special event license applicant shall submit the following information in writing:
      1.   An executed copy of the lease, rental agreement or other written authority for the use of the premises if the applicant is not the owner of the premises; if the owner, then a description of the premises shall be furnished;
      2.   The purpose for the issuance of the license;
      3.   A statement of the applicant's plans for crowd control;
      4.   A copy of the organization's corporate charter;
      5.   A statement that the applicant will not violate any of the laws of the State of Illinois, or the United States;
      6.   Certificate of insurance showing evidence of dramshop and liability insurance coverage;
      7.   The specific times and dates for the term of the license; and
      8.   The names and addresses of each authorized officer of the applicant who will be responsible for organizing and administering the special event for which the special event license is sought.
   (D)   Types Of Sales, Hours: A special event license shall authorize a not for profit corporation to make retail sales of all types of alcoholic liquor on any day of the week from eleven o'clock (11:00) A.M. to eleven o'clock (11:00) P.M. for one day for consumption only on the premises owned or leased by such organization and occupied by it during a special event sponsored by said organization, provided that no such nonprofit organization shall be entitled to receive more than two (2) special event licenses in any calendar year.    (E)   Fee: The daily fee for a special event license shall be paid in full at the time the license is issued pursuant to title 13, "Schedule Of Fees", of this Code. (Ord. 12/2017, 6-5-2017)
