8-11-6: STREET SALES:
It shall be unlawful for any person to expose to sale, offer to sell, or to vend or sell any article or articles or any goods, wares or merchandise of any kind or nature whatever, or to permit any of his agents or employees to expose to sale, offer to sell or to vend or sell any article or articles or any goods, wares or merchandise of any kind or nature whatever, from any rack, wagon, stand, motor truck, pushcart, or other vehicle, whether stationary or movable, upon the streets, sidewalks and public places within the limits of the city. However, this section shall not be construed to apply to house to house selling by a farmer, fruit and vine grower, and gardener, engaged in selling the produce of his farm, orchard, vineyard or garden, nor shall this section be construed to prevent the display by any merchant of goods, wares or merchandise on the sidewalk in front of his regularly established place of business so long as the same shall be done in conformity with any existing ordinance on that subject.
