It shall be unlawful for any person to molest, injure, damage, destroy or remove any barricade, guard planking, or other protection erected or placed upon any street or alley in said city to protect any unfinished portion of any public improvement or work from injury or destruction, or to make any use whatever of any such barricade, guard planking or other protection, calculated to injure or destroy the same, or to in anywise injure or damage any unfinished portion of any such public improvement or work erected or placed within the city.
