It shall be unlawful for any sidewalk to be constructed or renewed within the corporate limits of the City of Aledo unless cement is used in said construction or renewal of said sidewalk and said construction or renewal work is done in accordance to the specifications as set forth in ordinance codified herein pertaining to sidewalks, including, but not limited to, specifications and regulations as the City Council and/or the Director of Public Works and Utilities may from time to time require for sidewalk construction.
All sidewalks hereinafter constructed or renewed shall conform to and be laid in accordance with the rules and regulations adopted by the Illinois Department of Transportation, in its "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction", duly adopted on July 1, 1976, and as may be amended by said department from time to time, and said construction or renewal of sidewalks shall conform to all other rules and regulations that the City Council and/or the Director of Public Works and Utilities may adopt from time to time pertaining to construction of sidewalks within the City of Aledo.
