7-1-20: PROTECTION FROM DAMAGE AND PENALTIES:
   (A)   No unauthorized person shall maliciously, wilfully, or negligently break, damage, destroy, uncover, deface or tamper with any structure, appurtenance, or equipment which is a part of the sewage works of the city. Any person violating this provision shall be subject to immediate arrest under the charge of disorderly conduct.
   (B)   Any person found to be violating any provisions of this chapter except subsection (A) of this section shall be served by the city with written notice stating the nature of the violation and providing a reasonable time limit for the satisfactory correction thereof. The offender shall, within the period of time stated in such notice, permanently cease all violation. For the purposes of this section a reasonable time limit shall be considered and deemed to be a period of not more than ninety (90) days, as the circumstances of the particular violation and the action necessary to correction thereof may dictate.    (C)   Any person who shall continue any violation beyond the time limit provided for in subsection (B) of this section shall be fined pursuant to title 12, "Schedule Of Fines", of this code. (Ord. 23/2016, 1-3-2017)
   (D)   Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall become liable to the city for any expense, loss or damage occasioned the city by reason of such violation. (Ord. 14/88, 3-20-1989)
