§ 70.23  SPEED LIMITS.
   No person shall operate a motor vehicle on any highway, street, alley or other place located within the corporate limits of the village at a rate of speed greater than 20 mph, except that no person may operate a motor vehicle upon Saturn Street at a speed greater than 30 mph, and except that no person may operate a motor vehicle upon Apollo Street at a speed greater than 30 mph, and except that no person may operate a motor vehicle upon Highway 30 at a rate of speed greater than 45 mph, and except that no person may operate a motor vehicle upon the road lying partially within the corporate limits of the village which abuts the southern boundary of the corporate limits of the village at a rate of speed greater than 50 mph, unless a different rate of speed is specifically permitted by ordinance. In no instance shall a person drive a vehicle upon a highway, street, alley or other place located within the corporate limits of the village at a speed greater than is reasonable and prudent under the conditions. Where a different maximum speed is set by ordinance, appropriate signs shall be posted.
