A. Users Restricted:
1. No fire hydrant within the city shall be opened or operated by any person, except authorized city employees or employees of Hanover, Frankfort, St. Michael and Albertville water and sanitary sewer board (the "district"), or members of a fire department, except as provided herein. (Ord. 1984-9, 9-4-1984; amd. 2005 Code)
2. No person other than authorized personnel or employees shall operate a fire hydrant or interfere in any way with the city water system without first obtaining authority to do so from the city.
3. Anyone wishing to obtain water from a hydrant for construction purposes shall make application to the district for such services. (Ord., 7-17-1978; amd. 2005 Code)
B. Penalties: Any person violating any provision of this section shall, upon conviction, be punished as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code, plus, in either case, the costs of prosecution. (Ord. 1984-9, 9-4-1984; amd. 2005 Code)
