(A) When signs are erected giving notice of a handicapped person parking space, all persons other than those handicapped as defined in G.S. 20-37.5 are prohibited from parking a vehicle in any parking space Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., as described in Traffic Schedule XXXX hereby made a part hereof.
(B) When signs are erected giving notice of a handicapped person parking space, all persons other than those persons handicapped as defined in G.S. 20-37.5 are prohibited from parking a vehicle in any parking space described in Traffic Schedule XXXIX, hereby made a part hereof.

(A) It shall be unlawful to park any motor vehicles in excess of 80 inches in width or in excess of 30 feet in length, or any trailer, on the streets within the corporate limits of the city at any time except when engaged in loading and unloading, for emergency services or for temporary use at construction sites during the period of active construction.
(B) Subsection (A) does not apply to industrial, commercial, and business districts established under the City Zoning Ordinance during the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. during the standard of time then in effect.

Any vehicle with an attached trailer that is in compliance with all sections of Chapter 73 of the Code of Ordinances of the city shall be permitted to park on the street provided the vehicle has a warning cone, conforming to the appearance criteria of the manual on “Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways” published by the United States Department of Transportation and any supplement to that manual adopted by the North Carolina Department of Transportation, placed at the front corner of the vehicle and at the rear corner of the trailer nearest the travel lane to warn motorists of a potential danger.

LOADING AND UNLOADING
The Chief of Police is authorized to issue special permits to permit the backing of a vehicle to the curb for the purpose of loading or unloading merchandise or materials subject to the term and conditions of the permit. The permit may be issued either to the owner or lessee of real property or to the owner of the vehicle, and shall grant to the person the privilege as therein stated and authorized herein. It shall be unlawful for any permittee or other person to violate any of the special terms or conditions of the permit.
