TRAFFIC REGULATIONS
§ 70.01 HIGHWAY TRAFFIC REGULATIONS ACT INCORPORATED.
   The regulatory provisions of M.S. Ch. 169, as it may be amended from time to time, are hereby adopted as a traffic ordinance regulating the use of highways, streets and alleys within the city and are hereby incorporated in and made a part of this traffic code as completely as if set out here in full.

§ 70.02 ENGINE RETARDER BRAKES.
   The use of engine retarder brakes is prohibited within the city limits, except in an emergency.

§ 70.03 UNREASONABLE ACCELERATION; RECKLESS DRIVING.
   (A)   Unreasonable acceleration prohibited. No person shall accelerate any motor vehicle with an unnecessary exhibition of speed on any street, driveway or parking lot, whether public or private property, within the city. Prima facie evidence of unnecessary exhibition of speed shall be squealing or screeching sounds emitted by the tires, or the throwing of dirt by the tires of the vehicle, or both.
   (B)   Driving conduct regulated. No person shall drive a motor vehicle within the city in such a manner that it could endanger person(s) or property within the city.

§ 70.04 MOTORIZED VEHICLES ON PARK TRAILS.
   (A)   Definition of terms. For the purpose of this section, the following definitions apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
      CITY PARK TRAILS. Any bituminous, concrete, gravel or grass trail or walkway constructed by the city as a city park trail. The TRAILS are not specifically limited to the city park and may be placed in other parts of the city, such as playgrounds and dikes.
      MOTORIZED VEHICLES. Any motorized type of transportation, to include, but not be limited to, all-terrain vehicles, motorcycles, snowmobiles, scooters and automobiles.
   (B)   Motorized vehicles on city park trails. No person shall operate a motorized vehicle, except authorized maintenance and/or emergency vehicles on a city park trail.
