After the subdivider has determined the general features to be required in the subdivision, the subdivider may proceed to cause a preliminary plat to be prepared. An application in writing for tentative approval of the preliminary plat, together with six 24 x 36-inch prints and two 11 x 17-inch prints thereof, shall be filed with the Planning Commission at least two weeks before the meeting of the Planning Commission at which the preliminary plat is to be acted upon, along with the subdivision fee in accordance with the fee chart most recently approved by the Council.
