3-1-4: LOCAL LIQUOR CONTROL COMMISSIONER:
   A.   Mayor Serve As; Authority:
      1.   The mayor of the city shall be the local liquor control commissioner for the territory within the corporate limits of the city and shall be charged with the administration of the applicable provisions of the Illinois liquor control act and the provisions of this chapter, as well as such ordinances and resolutions relating to alcoholic liquor as may be enacted.
      2.   The local liquor control commissioner is authorized to make such rules as may be necessary in the performance of his duties and to aid in the administration of this chapter and to effectuate its purposes.
   B.   Powers And Duties: The local liquor control commissioner shall have the powers and duties provided in this chapter, plus the powers and duties provided in the Illinois liquor control act. (2006 Code § 3-2-3)
