8-1-10: ENFORCEMENT AND PENALTIES:
   A.   Any person who owns or is in possession of any premises and who violates any provision of this chapter, except subsection 8-1-6A of this chapter, shall be served by the city with written notice, stating the nature of the violation and providing a reasonable time limit for the satisfactory correction thereof. The offender shall, within such period of time stated in such notice, permanently cease all further violations. Any person who continues any violation beyond the time limit provided shall be guilty of an offense subject to prosecution by the city.
   B.   Any person who violates subsection 8-1-6A of this chapter shall be guilty of an offense subject to immediate prosecution by the city.
   C.   The city's remedies to prevent violations shall include injunctive and other civil relief and shall not be limited to criminal or quasi-criminal prosecution under the general penalty provisions of section 1-4-1 of this code. (2006 Code § 7-1-16)
