1-4-1: GENERAL PENALTY:
   A.   Unless otherwise provided by a specific penalty provision within this code, any person convicted of a violation of any section of this code shall be fined in a sum not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) and not more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00).
   B.   Unless otherwise specifically provided by this code, a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day a violation occurs or during which a violation continues.
   C.   A person convicted of a violation of any section of this code may be sentenced to a term of public or community service in lieu of, or in addition to, a fine as provided in subsection A of this section.
   D.   A person convicted of a violation of any section of this code shall be deemed guilty of a petty offense as defined in the unified code of corrections, adopted by law in Illinois. (2006 Code § 1-3-1)
   E.   The imposition of a penalty by fine does not prevent revocation or suspension of a license, permit, or franchise, or other administrative action, for any offense which is also cause for the penalty.
   F.   Violations of this code which are continuous with respect to time may be abated by injunctive or other equitable relief, and the imposition of a penalty does not prevent such injunctive or other equitable relief. (2006 Code § 1-3-3)
