ADOPTING ORDINANCE
ORDINANCE NO. 295
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CODIFICATION OF THE GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF TAFT, CALIFORNIA, AND PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF THE OFFICIAL CODE OF THE CITY OF TAFT.
The City Council of the City of Taft does ordain as follows:
   Section 1. From and after the date of passage of this Ordinance the Official City Code of the City of Taft is hereby approved and accepted and shall be the Official Code of all Ordinances of a general and permanent character of the City.
   Section 2. That the titles of secondary codes therein adopted by reference are the National Electrical Code (1959), the Uniform Electrical Code (1959), the Uniform Plumbing Code (1958), and the Uniform Building Code (1961), and appendix made a part thereof, Pages 373-408, inc.
   Section 3. At least three (3) copies of the Official City Code and National and Uniform Codes adopted therein by reference, shall at all times be on file and available for inspection in the office of the Clerk.
   Section 4. Any violation of such Official City Code shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00) or imprisonment for a term not exceeding six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
   Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days after passage and due publication.
   Passed and approved by the Mayor and Council this 16th day of March, 1964.
