(A) Reclassified territory.
(1) The Town Council hereby reclassifies certain areas from the Rural Service District to the Town Service District, consisting of the following areas or subdivisions: Devonshire, Holliday Farms and Chelsea Park as well as adjacent un-platted properties.
(2) The Service Districts Map is hereby amended to reflect the reclassified areas being moved into the Town Service District and the same is approved and adopted as the town's official Service Districts Map as attached hereto as Exhibit B. The reclassified territory is described on Exhibit A attached hereto and is schematically illustrated on Exhibit B attached hereto, consisting of approximately 701 acres.
(B) Public hearing. Notice of the public hearing on the reclassification was published on September 7, 2023 and September 19, 2023 in the Lebanon Reporter and the public hearing on the reclassification of certain areas in the town was held on October 2, 2023 before the Zionsville Town Council.
(C) Subsequent actions. The town's Director of Finance and Records is authorized, empowered and directed to take any and all action necessary or required by state law to effectuate the purposes of this section and the reclassification of the territory from the Rural Service District to the Town Service District.
