(A) It is the policy of the Town of Zionsville that it does not discriminate in the provision of its services or programs on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or familial, veteran or military status. It is the public policy of the Town of Zionsville to provide equal opportunity for education, employment, access to public accommodations, and acquisition through purchase or rental of real property, including, but not limited to housing, and to eliminate segregation or separation based on race, religion, color, sex, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or familial, veteran or military status.
(B) Denial of equal opportunity to persons because of race, religion, color, sex, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or familial, veteran or military status is contrary to the principles of freedom and equality of opportunity and is a burden to the public policy of the Town and are considered discriminatory practices. The purpose of the chapter is to promote equal opportunity without regard to race, religion, color, sex, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or familial, veteran or military status.
(C) It is also the public policy of the town to protect employers, businesses and other organizations, labor organizations, employment agencies, property owners, real estate brokers, builders, and lending institutions from unfounded charges of discrimination.
