(A) Basic service: $9 per month (plus tax):
(1) WGN (WGN-TV, Channel 9, Chicago): well-rounded programming format featuring movies, sports, specials and syndicated programs from Chicago’s leading independent television station;
(2) WTBS (WTBS-TV, Channel 17, Atlanta): cable-oriented, independent station. Family directed programs, sports, movies, quality syndications, national/international news, unique “superstation” programming;
(3) ESPN (Entertainment and Sports Programming Network): the sports fanatic’s Shangri-La, featuring 1,400 NCAA events;
(4) CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network): Christian music, news, sports, children and family entertainment presented 24 hours per day, including Ross Bagley, the world’s first video deejay, plus free phone-in prayer and counseling for viewers. Programs represent 67 different sources;
(5) CNN (Cable News Network): 24-hour live news format. Round-the-clock news coverage developed specifically for the cable viewer. Headline, in-depth reporting, hard news, sports, weather, features and financial reports, news when viewer wants it;
(6) WOR (WOR-TV, Channel 9, New York): New York’s independent station featuring 700 action packed hours of sports programming, plus movie and television shows from the past decades;
(7) USA Network: features a package of 375 sporting events annually, including weeknight action from the NHL, SASL, NBA, MISL and major league baseball; Calliope, a wonderland of films for children; and The English Channel, the first culturally-oriented series produced exclusively for cable television;
(8) Nickelodian: a programming playground constructed to capture the spirit and curiosity of youngsters and adolescents;
(9) Zionsville Information Channel: computerized information channel containing local information, premium channel listings, time and temperature. Advertising will be available to local merchants on this channel;
(10) Channel 6, Indianapolis, ABC;
(11) Channel 8, Indianapolis, CBS;
(12) Channel 13, Indianapolis, NBC;
(13) Channel 4, Indianapolis, Independent; and
(14) Channel 20, Indianapolis, Educational.
(B) Premium service: three optional channels:
(1) HBO (Home Box Office): the industry’s most popular full service compliment of first run movies, sports and entertainment specials;
(2) The Movie Channel (TMC): movie programming, 24 hours every day; and
(3) Cinemax: designed specifically to compliment HBO as a second service. All movie service structured into time blocks according to female, children, family or adult audience appeal.
(C) Rate information.
(1) The $9 basic rate contained in division (A) above entitles each customer to as many outlets in the home as he or she wishes.
(2) The pay rate will be $9 for each service desired. However, a discount of 10% will be offered for those taking two pay services. A flat rate of $29.95 will be offered for subscribers taking the entire package. In addition, a converter will be offered free as long as the subscriber maintains at least two pay services in his or her home.
(3) Primary installation charge will be $15 for the first outlet and $7.50 for each additional outlet. The operator will waive half of the installation charge on initial hook-ups. Installation charges are also guaranteed as per § 111.05 of this chapter.
