§ 34.02 VEHICLE INSPECTION, ACCIDENT REPORT, HANDGUN PERMITS AND COPY FEES.
   (A)   There is hereby imposed a fee for any vehicle inspection made by the Town Police Department. The fee imposed by this section shall be payable by non-residents of the town. It shall be paid at the time the inspection is performed at the Town Police Department. Upon the payment of such fee, the person making such inspection on behalf of the Town Police Department shall issue a receipt therefore. The amount of the fee established in this division (A) shall be $5.
   (B)   There is hereby imposed a fee for any copies of case or incident reports made by the Town Police Department. The amount of the fee established in this division (B) shall be $5 per report, excluding photographs or charts, which shall be charged at reproduction costs rates.
   (C)   There is hereby imposed a fee for any copies of accident reports made by the Town Police Department. The amount of the fee established in this division (C) shall be $12 per report for copying and providing accident reports as described in I.C. 9-29-11.
   (D)   There is hereby imposed a fee for handgun permits processed by the Town Police Department. The amount of the fee payable to the Town Police Department established in this division (D) shall be $10 for a four-year permit; $40 for a lifetime permit when the four-year permit has not expired; $50 for a lifetime permit with no current permit.
   (E)   There is hereby imposed a fee for fingerprint cards processed by the Town Police Department. The amount of the fee established in this division (E) shall be $5 per fingerprint card.
   (F)   The fees established in divisions (A) and (E) above shall not be applicable to residents of the town who can prove their residency by producing a valid state driver’s license, voter registration card or other proof of residency to the satisfaction of the Town Police Department.
   (G)   Fees collected pursuant to divisions (A), (B), (C), (D) and (E) above shall be deposited by the Clerk-Treasurer in the Local Law Enforcement Continuing Education Fund.
   (H)   This section shall become effective on 5-4-2009 and thereafter.
