(A) In accordance with I.C. 36-7-4-1105, as amended, authorizing the setting aside of sites, memorials, edifices and monuments in commemoration of persons or objects of historical or architectural interest or value as a part of our citizens’ heritage, be it now ordained by the Town Council that the site of Lincoln Park bounded by Oak Street on the south, First Street on the east, Cedar Street on the north and Second Street on the west, all within the corporate limits of the town be hereby set aside as a historical memorial commemoration of Abraham Lincoln.
(B) Be it further ordained that this section may not be changed or abrogated, except after a public hearing duly advertised by giving of ten days’ notice of such hearing by two publications one week apart in a newspaper serving the area, with all interested citizens of the town being given opportunity to be heard in the matter.
