(A) The Council recognizes and acknowledges the provisions of SEA 292 and its amendment to I.C. Title 35, including, but not limited to, I.C. 35-47-11.1 and its possible conflict with current town ordinances, rules, regulations and policies, including former § 9-2 of the code of ordinances, captioned “Firearm Regulations”.
(B) As of 7-1-2011, all ordinances, rules, regulations and policies of the town in conflict or not in compliance with the provisions of SEA 292 and its codification as an amendment to I.C. Title 35, including, but not limited to, I.C. 35-47-11.1, are hereby void and of no further force or effect.
(C) This section shall be in full force and effect in accordance with state law, upon the passage of any applicable waiting periods, all as provided by the laws of the state.
