The town, by its municipal sewage works, may provide that a user of a private septic system whose property line is within 300 feet of any available sewer in the town’s sewer system connect to the town’s sewer system pursuant to I.C. 8-1-2-125 and § 52.016 of this chapter. Upon the occurrence of a mandatory connection pursuant to this section and I.C. 8-1-2-125, the user of a private sewage disposal system shall tender the availability fee to the municipal sewage works.
