(A) The number of reserve police officers to serve the town is hereby fixed at 20 members, and said members are hereby designated to have all of the same police powers of the regular members of the Town Police Department, excepting as limited by the rules and procedures of the Town Police Department.
(B) Said reserve police officers may not participate in any pension programs provided for the regular members of the Department, nor shall any police reserve member be, nor should this section be construed that they be, a member of the regular town police force.
