§ 52.99 PENALTY.
   (A)   Any person who violates any provision of this chapter for which no penalty is otherwise provided shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $500 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 60 days, or both the fine and imprisonment. Except where otherwise provided, every day any violation of this chapter shall continue shall constitute a separate offense. ('74 Code, § 1-6)
   (B)   Penalty for unauthorized extension. Any unauthorized or unapproved extension or use of the water system for the purpose of avoiding the accurate metering of water or other substances being discharged into the city sewer system shall be deemed a misdemeanor punishable by a fine in an amount not to exceed $1,000 and incarceration in the County Detention Center for a period not to exceed 30 days. In addition the city may assess a civil penalty in an amount no less than the revenue determined to have been lost, but not in an amount to exceed twice the revenue determined to have been lost as a result thereof. In addition, the City Manager may deny to anyone convicted of a violation of this §§ 52.10 through 52.17 of this chapter the privilege of the dual meter system of billing.
