Within 30 days after initial appointment of the Commission by the City Council, the Commission shall meet for the purpose of organization. At that meeting, the Commission shall elect a chairperson and vice-chairperson from among its members. The term of the chairperson shall be one year with eligibility for reelection. Commission members may not serve more than two consecutive terms as chairperson. The city ex officio representative shall not be eligible for the chair. The Commission shall adopt rules for the transactions of business and shall keep records of its discussions, findings, and recommendations.
