As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, unless such meanings would be inconsistent with the manifest intent of the chapter or the context clearly requires otherwise.
PROSECUTOR. An attorney or other person authorized to act as an attorney for the government who prosecutes a person for a criminal, civil traffic or petty offense in the Municipal Court of the City of Yuma, Arizona.
MUNICIPAL COURT. The Municipal Court of the City of Yuma, Arizona as established by City of Yuma Charter Art. XI, Sec. 1.
MUNICIPAL JUDGE. Shall include the Presiding Judge, Municipal Judge, Municipal Judge Pro Tempore, City Magistrate, and any other person authorized to adjudicate matters for or on behalf of the Municipal Court of the City of Yuma, Arizona.
COURT OFFICER. An employee of the Yuma Police Department appointed to serve the Municipal Court as prescribed by the Yuma City Charter with all of the powers and duties within the City of Yuma municipal boundaries as authorized by the Yuma City Charter, the state of Arizona, as directed or ordered by the Presiding Judge of the Municipal Court or any Municipal Court Judge.
