Contemporaneous employment is prohibited. It shall be a breach of ethical standards for any employee who is participating directly or indirectly in the procurement process to be or become, while such an employee, employed by any person contracting with the governmental body or own a business which contracts with the governmental body unless such person or business does so in conformance with the City Charter and state laws governing conflicts of interest. For purposes of this section, advisory recommendations by board and commission members are not considered participation either directly or indirectly in the procurement process.
