A. State Statute: Any person violating any of the provisions of this Chapter or disobeying any signs or markings installed pursuant thereto shall be guilty of an infraction. Pursuant to the California Vehicle Code, every person convicted of an infraction for a violation of the provisions of this Chapter shall be punished by a fine based upon excess weight in accordance with California Vehicle Code section 42030. B. Administrative Citation: Notwithstanding the foregoing, any violation of any of the provisions of this Chapter may be, but is not required to be, prosecuted as an administrative citation procedure, pursuant to Chapter 1.04 of this Code. (Ord. 97, 11-5-1998)
