It shall be unlawful to operate any commercial vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of ten thousand (10,000) pounds on any street or road within the Town except for those truck routes established pursuant to this Chapter.
Whenever a street or road has been established as a truck route pursuant to this Chapter, the Traffic Engineer shall erect appropriate signs designating the affected street or road thereof. Such signs shall read "Truck Route" and conform to the State of California Department of Transportation Standard Specification 56, and shall be erected at all truck route entrances to the Town, at all intersections of truck routes within the Town, and at such other places as the Traffic Engineer may deem necessary for the proper enforcement of this Chapter.
