The Town Council hereby finds that the operation of heavy commercial vehicles on the streets and roads of residential neighborhoods creates traffic, pedestrian and safety hazards as well as excessive damage to the streets and roads of said neighborhoods.
The purpose and intent of the Town Council through the adoption of this Chapter is to protect the streets and roads of said residential neighborhoods while providing appropriate truck routes for heavy commercial vehicles. (Ord. 69, 5-2-1996)
