8.16.060   Conditional use permit required for expansion of amusement arcades.
A.   Owners, operators and/or proprietors of existing amusement arcades may not increase the number of mechanical play devices or electronic play devices at any amusement arcade without first obtaining a conditional use permit pursuant to the procedure, notice and hearing requirements specified in Section 83.030120 of the Yucaipa Development Code, and as further set forth hereinbelow.
B.   For those locations that request permission to expand an existing amusement arcade, in addition to the criteria set forth in Section 83.030120, and without limitation, the following shall be considered in issuing a conditional use permit:
1.   The use shall be reviewed to insure compatibility with adjacent uses and will not be detrimental to surrounding uses, nor will the surrounding uses be detrimental to the proposed location.
2.   The spacing of devices within the use shall be reviewed so that there is ample space for players, spectators and for ingress and egress during play.
3.   The factors set forth in Section 8.16.050 may be considered, but shall not be controlling in determining whether a conditional use permit shall issue. (Ord. 141 § 3(B), 1996; Ord. 114 § 6, 1993)
