It is unlawful for any person to violate any provision of this chapter, or knowingly or intentionally misrepresent to any officer or employee of this city any material fact in procuring a business license. Any person violating or failing to comply with any of the requirements of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. The city attorney may specify in the accusatory pleadings that the offense shall be an infraction. The conviction and punishment of any person in violation of this code shall not excuse or exempt such person from the payment of any license fees or penalties due or unpaid at the time of such conviction.
