1.13.030   Administrative citation.
A.   Any responsible person who violates any section of this code, or who breaches or violates any condition of a permit, approval or license issued pursuant to this code, may be issued a citation by an enforcement official as provided in this chapter.
B.   If the violation pertains to building, plumbing, electrical or other similar structural or zoning issues that do not create an immediate danger to health and safety, then the responsible person shall be issued a courtesy notice only on the first violation. The courtesy notice shall advise the responsible person of the nature of the violation and the date upon which the violation shall be corrected. The time within which the responsible person is required to correct the violation shall be specified in the courtesy notice. The minimum period of time provided to correct the violation is fifteen (15) days. If the violation is not corrected within the time provided on the courtesy notice, a citation shall be issued. If the violation is corrected, no further action shall be taken against the responsible person. The enforcement official may extend the time in which to correct the violation. (Ord. 283 § 2, 2008)
