§ 32.008 MEMBERSHIP IN ASSOCIATIONS.
   (A)   Appropriation of funds. The Town Council is authorized to appropriate necessary funds to provide membership for the town in state and national associations of a civic, educational or governmental nature which have as their purpose the betterment and improvement of municipal operations.
   (B)   Participation in associations. The town is authorized to participate through duly designated representatives in the meetings and activities of such associations, and the Town Council is authorized to appropriate necessary funds to defray the expenses of such representatives in connection therewith.
