For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions, in addition to those enumerated in § 70.02, shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
APPROVED STREET. Town streets which have a posted speed limit of 30 miles per hour or less, not including any state highway; this expressly does not include town sidewalks, trails, or multi-use paths.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. Proof of ability to respond in damages for each golf cart or recreational off-road vehicle registered by a person for liability that arises out of the ownership, maintenance, or use of the golf cart or recreational off-road vehicle in the following amounts:
(1) Twenty-five thousand dollars because of bodily injury to or death of any one person.
(2) Subject to the limit in division (1), $50,000 because of bodily injury to or death of two or more persons in any one accident.
(3) Twenty-five thousand dollars because of injury to or destruction of property in any one accident.
RECREATIONAL OFF-ROAD VEHICLE. A motorized, off-highway vehicle, as defined by I.C. § 14-8-2-233.5 which states that it:
(1) Is 65 inches or less in width;
(2) Has a dry weight of 2,000 pounds or less;
(3) Is designed for travel on at least four non-highway or off-highway tires; and
(4) Is designed for recreational use by one or more individuals.
