Any person violating any provision in this chapter shall be subject to a fine of not less than $50 plus court costs for a first offense, not less than $100 plus court costs for a second offense, and $200 plus court costs for any subsequent offense. In addition, such person shall be responsible to reimburse the town for any expenses it incurs in providing overnight space and care to the animal.
