(a) Whoever violates any provision of this article shall, upon conviction therefor be fined not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000) and in default of payment thereof shall be imprisoned not more than ninety (90) days.

(b) Each day any itinerant vendor conducts such business in violation of the provisions of this article shall be a separate offense. (1944 Code Ch. §5).
