149.01 COMPOSITION, CONTROL AND APPOINTMENTS.

(a) The Fire Department shall consist of not more than eighty-three members and shall be under the direct supervision and control of the Mayor or his designee.

(b) All appointments to the Fire Department shall be in accordance with the Civil Service provisions of the Third Class City Code and shall be subject to approval of Council.
