(A) There is created the Fire Advisory Committee.
(B) Membership. The Fire Advisory Committee shall consist of five members. The Director of Fire Services shall be the chair. The Director of Fire Services shall select two fire chiefs from the eastern side of York County and two fire chiefs from the Western side of York County, who shall also serve on the Fire Advisory Committee. There shall be no terms for services on the Fire Advisory Committee; however, the Director of Fire Services has the authority to replace any fire chief at his or her discretion.
(C) The Fire Advisory Committee shall prepare fire protection recommendations to York County Council for the standardization of fire protection services, including basic policies required of all fire departments and best practice guidelines recommended for all fire departments.
