§ 33.118 NO RECORDING POLICY.
   (A)   Unauthorized recording of co-workers or supervisors is prohibited. This prohibition includes but is not limited to digital recorders or cell phones to make audio and/or video recordings. Any employee who violates this policy is subject to discipline up to and including termination.
   (B)   Secret recordings are prohibited unless authorized in writing by the county manager, county attorney, or a law enforcement agency. Notwithstanding the previous limitation, employees who are authorized to enforce county ordinances or the laws of the State of South Carolina may make audio and video records for any purpose within the scope of their duties.
   (C)   Employees may make authorized recordings if all of the following criteria are met:
      (1)   A legitimate purpose for the recording;
      (2)   A recording device in plain view; and
      (3)   The persons being recorded are informed recording is taking place.
