§ 50.48 LEVY OF TAXES AND UNIFORM SERVICE CHARGES; EXPENDITURE OF SAME.
   The County Council shall annually, by ordinance, provide that there shall be levied by the county auditor and collected by the county treasurer, in the same manner as county taxes are levied and collected, a tax on all taxable property located within the County Solid Waste Collection Special Tax District in an amount to be established annually by ordinance and/or Council may annually establish uniform service charges by ordinance, or both. The proceeds from the tabs and/or uniform service charges, or both, and rates, fees and charges established by Council shall be used to pay in whole or in part the costs of acquiring, equipping, operating and maintaining facilities and sites for the collection, transportation, storage, handling, separation, treatment, reduction, recycling, reuse and disposal of household solid waste generated within the unincorporated area of the county.
