Election to utilize the remedies provided by this subchapter for enforcement of collection and disposition of delinquent taxes, penalties and costs, shall not prevent the County Council or any county official exercising lawful authority from also using any remedy or supplementing any provision of this subchapter, by reliance upon and use of any statute which is not in conflict with the provisions of this subchapter, including those existing statutes which refer to the sheriff or other designated official as the official charged with the enforcement, collection and distribution of delinquent property taxes, penalties and costs.
