§ 35.045 LEGISLATIVE FINDINGS.
   (A)   The County Council finds that there was established and created by Act No. 1342, Acts and Joint Resolutions of the South Carolina General Assembly, 1968, the position of the county tax assessor.
   (B)   The County Council further finds that the S.C. Code §§ 12-37-90, 12-37-110, 12-37-970, 12-39-340, 12-39-350, 12-43-210 to 12-43-310, have required that each county shall have a full-time tax assessor whose duties and responsibilities are provided by the general law. The County Council further finds that the South Carolina General Assembly has provided that all laws relating to operations, agencies and offices of county government may be implemented by ordinance of the County Council, consistent with the provisions of S.C. Code Title 4, Chapter 9. It is the intent of this section and sections following to provide for the appointment, term of office, duties and responsibilities of the county tax assessor.
